Blessing of an Advent Wreath
The use of the Advent Wreath is a traditional practice which has found its place in the Church as well as in the home. The blessing of an Advent Wreath takes place on the First Sunday of Advent.. When the blessing of the Advent Wreath is celebrated in the home, it is appropriate that it be blessed by a parent or another member of the family.

Make a Jesse Tree
A Jesse Tree is a way of preparing for Christmas by looking at and remembering Jesus' ancestors. Start first by finding a tree branch. Place the tree branch in a large pot so that it can stand upright. Each day of Advent, add an ornament symbolizing the story of one of Jesus' ancestors As you decorate your tree, you'll see Jesus' lineage - his family story and history and how God prepared for Jesus' birth through many generations of people.

O AntiphonsThe
O Antiphons are the antiphons used at Vespers those last seven days of Advent.  Each antiphon is a name of Christ - one of his attributes mentioned in Scripture.
As we move through Advent, listen to the Advent music.
