150th Anniversary Update - Planning for 2011 DONATIONS NOW ACCEPTED! (see below)

St. John the Evangelist Parish will be celebrating 150 years of faith-filled service to the Canton and surrounding communities in 2011. We look forward to an upcoming year full of reminiscing, celebration, special liturgies and more. As many of our parishioners hold many memories near and dear to their hearts, along with photos, artifacts, and other memorabilia, we wish to invite you to share these with the parish community. Any items you wish to have included in our celebration, will be gratefully accepted. Welcome to St. John the Evangelist Parish. We hope this website serves to make our Parish more personal and accessible to our long-time members, newcomers, and everyone in between. We invite you to share with us the talents God has bestowed upon you and to worship with us in a welcoming community.

Our Mission

St. John’s is a warm, welcoming, diverse Parish, full of life. We are a generous and vibrant faith-filled community full of the love as proclaimed in the written word of our Patron St. John the Evangelist, where the Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian Life, the Gospel is spread, and the Mission of Jesus Christ is carried out guided by the Holy Spirit.

Daily Mass -- 9:00AM, Monday through Saturday
Saturday Vigil Mass -- 4:00PM
Sunday Masses -- 7:30AM, 9:30AM, 11:30AM
Youth Mass -- 5:00PM Sundays, September through May

RECONCILIATION - every Sat. 3:00pm til 3:45pm or by appointment

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION - every Weds. after 9:00am Mass benediction and reposition at 7:00pm - First Fridays of the month after the 9:00am Mass with noontime prayers and reposition

ROSARY - Prayed daily before the 9:00am Mass beginning at 8:40am

BAPTISM- first Sunday of the month (except during Lent) 2:00pm contact Nancy Gaudette at nancytgaudette@aol.com. Baptism prep is Wednesday before the Baptism @ 7PM in the lower church hall.
